Thank you to the parents who participated in Thursday night's handbook review. The night was filled with rich discussion and great ideas for the upcoming school year. One great idea is adding parent liaisons to the list of supports for incoming families. Parent liaisons are succesful, seasoned K-8 parents who will lend a helping hand to the incoming families. Thanks in advance to those of you who have volunteered to serve in this capacity for the 2007-2008 school year.
The one important discussion point I would like to share with everyone is that Kihei Charter School is your school. It is a community school and is as strong as we make it. Our goal is for Kihei Charter School to be one of the best educational choices on Maui. We are on our way!If we have this goal in common let me know and please share your time and talents to ensure we are the best.
Upcoming information/orientation sessions for new families will be held:
Wednesday, May 23rd at 6:00
Tuesday, May 29th at 3:30
Thursday, May 31st at 6:00
Wednesday, June 6th at 3:30
The orientation sessions for all current K-8 families planning on continuing next school year are:
Friday, June 1st at 1:15
Tuesday, June 5th at 6:00
Information/orientation sessions will be held at KCS and will last approx. one hour.
